The ‘Tickets @ 2′ hit today is “Can’t Buy Me Love” by The Beatles.
Paul McCartney wrote it. The song was recorded on January 29th, 1964 in Paris, although when The Beatles returned to Britain, George Harrison decided to overdub another lead guitar part in London.
This was one of the Beatles songs that held the top 5 positions on the US chart on April 4, 1964. The others were: “Twist and Shout,” “She Loves You,” “I want To Hold Your Hand,” and “Please, Please Me.”
McCartney sang the lead vocal. It was one of the first Beatles songs where only one member of the group sang.
When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a 4-Pack of tickets to “The Hunger Games-Catching Fire” in theaters everywhere, courtesy of Regal Entertainment Group Theatres.
